Jaspersoft, the Intelligence Inside applications and business processes, has announced product integration with Cloudera, the leader in enterprise analytic data management powered by Apache Hadoop™, to extend the company’s leadership in reporting and analytics for Big Data. With this integration, Jaspersoft becomes one of the first business intelligence (BI) providers to support both Cloudera 5 Enterprise Data Hub and Cloudera Impala for Hadoop analytics.
We are seeing a high level of interest from enterprises in Apache Hadoop, although its initial use by specialists has to some extent limited widespread strategic adoption. This is changing however, due to the maturity and improved usability of associated tools,” said Matt Aslett, research director, data platforms and analytics at 451 Research. “Data platform and analytic products that deliver self-service access to fast reliable data using familiar techniques that business users already understand – such as the combination of Cloudera 5 and Jaspersoft – have the potential to increase the success of ‘big data’ projects.”
With this release, Jaspersoft extends its position in the open source BI market, and enables customers to address virtually all Hadoop Big Data use cases. By fully integrating Jaspersoft with Cloudera 5 and Impala, users will have access to the latest tools in performance, security, and interactive analytics, while employing the speed and flexibility they need to dominate the competition.
Our customers are always looking forward to the next innovation in data management and analysis; Jaspersoft is among the first vendors to integrate with Cloudera 5 and offer these advanced capabilities to customers,” said Jim Bell, chief marketing officer at Jaspersoft. “Further, customers can combine Jaspersoft’s powerful reporting, analytic, and visualization with Cloudera’s Impala to get fast insights from their Hadoop data.”
The recent certification of Jaspersoft on Cloudera Enterprise 5 allows our joint customers to leverage the latest capabilities of Jaspersoft and Cloudera Enterprise 5 to address the most demanding analytic applications,” said Tim Stevens, VP of Business and Corporate Development at Cloudera.
