I’m interested in AI software as a tool for our work with climate change visualization. Our automated camera system called PixOrb can record large tiled photospheres while also collecting a range of atmospheric and ground data that will need to be parsed when sent to the cloud via cell towers and satellites. Multiple PixOrb units will be able to record simultaneously from different coordinates. Actionable remedies will often need to be derived quickly.

We collaborated in the design, and fully fabricated, the photosphere capturing camera cart called ‘Argus’ for the CSAIL MIT City Scanning Project. (Argus is now at the MIT Museum). I’m currently working with the Maine Technology Institute toward getting NSF funding for the manufacturing of climate change visualization hardware for use in National Parks and elsewhere, for the preservation of species diversity and habitat preservation etc.

I will welcome an opportunity to discuss further with you how Big Data might be useful for this project and our future customers.

Regards,
John Borden
