Countdown to Inaugural In-Memory Computing Summit 2015

IMCS_head_logoGridGain Systems, a leading innovator behind open source and commercial in-memory data fabric solutions and producer of the first-ever, industry-wide In-Memory Computing Summit (IMC Summit), announced the agenda for the inaugural IMC Summit 2015 being held June 29-30 at the W Hotel in San Francisco. The jam-packed agenda includes topics on Apache Spark, batch and stream pipeline processing, load-and-go in-memory analytics, scalable machine learning pipelines, and the emergence of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM).

In the session titled, “The Science and Engineering Behind Super Fast Load-and-Go In-Memory Analytics,” Sam Lightstone, Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect Cloud and Software Data Warehousing at IBM, will take a closer look at the architectural strategy for treating RAM as the new disk, and describe IBM’s design for super-simplicity of an in-memory data warehousing technology that can be used with both cloud and on-premises software on any size system.

In his session, “From Spark to Ignition: Fueling Your Business on Real-Time Analytics,” Eric Frenkiel, CEO and co-founder of MemSQL, will share hands-on ‘how-to’ recipes to build real-time pipelines around Apache Spark, with detailed production examples.

Amit Satoor, Senior Director Product and Solution Marketing at SAP, will talk about how a variety of business applications can be transformed using advanced in-memory computing in his session titled: “In-Memory Computing with SAP HANA: The Next Era of Data Architecture.”

The event starts with a keynote speech by Forrester Research Principal Analyst Mike Gualtieri, entitled, “The Velocity of Business Requires In-Memory Computing.” In this presentation, Mr. Gualtieri will discuss the business, technology, and market trends that pushed in-memory from a nice-to-have to a must-have application development platform. John Webster, Forbes columnist and Evaluator Group Senior Partner, will present a closing keynote, “In-Memory Computing and the Emergence of Tier -1 Storage,” focused on the new and even higher performance persistent data storage layer that will enable broad adoption of the as yet unrealized power of real time computing.
