What happens on a Mobilise Worldwide team?
Mobilise Worldwide teams are hosted by church plants in locations around the world so that you can have a real taste of what it’s like to plant a church in another culture. Before you go on a team you will receive training in the UK on different topics including cross-cultural mission, the biblical background to mission, making the most of your time on a team and more. Whilst you are on location you will receive some training seminars form your host church on the local culture. For part of your time on a team you will be involved in some way with the life of the church, possibly through prayer or leading a service. You will also be out and about in the city as a team, prayer walking, worshipping on the streets, engaging in prophetic evangelism, serving in other creative ways and having lots of fun!

Leading a team
Teams need leaders. For each team we’re looking for a male and a female leader, so you won’t be leading on your own. If would like to apply to lead a Mobilise Worldwide team, please read the information on the role of a team leader, and then complete the application pack and return it to us at the address provided. We ask also for a reference from someone who leads you at church (elder, small group leader, team leader etc) and for your application form to be endorsed by your church elder. We will be in touch once we have received your application and reference and if you will be leading one of the teams next year we would love you to come along to a leaders evening the night before your team’s briefing day. This will be a great chance for you to meet some of the other leaders and prepare for leading the team.
The small print
Newfrontiers reserves the right to cancel a team at any point, if circumstances make such an action necessary. In the event of security issues, natural disasters or other crisis situations, it may be necessary to cancel a team. In the event of Newfrontiers cancelling a team, any fees paid will be refunded in full.
Team members and leaders should be aware that withdrawing from a team after the place has been confirmed will have implications for the rest of the team, both practically and financially. Depending upon the circumstance of withdrawal, a team member risks losing their entire fee if they cancel a place on a team after it has been accepted. If a team member cancels their place less than three months before departure we ask they still pay the full fee. Where appropriate, insurance claims will be made, though team members should be aware of the terms of the policy and that even in the event of a claim being viable, the full fees are not covered and are therefore not refundable, other than at the discretion of Newfrontiers. Deposits are returnable only if Newfrontiers is not able to offer you a place on a Mobilise Worldwide team.
By applying to join a Newfrontiers Mobilise Worldwide team your acceptance of Newfrontiers’ policies and procedures is implied. The Newfrontiers host churches will provide appropriate safe working facilities and the equipment necessary to adequately fulfill the role required of team participants.
Newfrontiers will take all reasonable steps to provide protection for participants but all parties recognise that there are inherent risks in working outside the UK. Neither Newfrontiers nor the hosts will be required to do more than is reasonably necessary and possible in the circumstances of this voluntary work to provide a safe and proper system of work.
Whilst Newfrontiers will take all reasonable steps to assist participants in any emergency, there will be no legal liability on Newfrontiers’ agents or employees for the consequences of events outside their control from their base in the UK.
